STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
To connect children, regardless of their ethnicity, age, or special needs, with Christian adoptive families and to reach all venues of our community with adoption education.

WE ARE MINISTRY OF YOUTH WITH A MISSION
Adoption Ministry is a licensed non-profit child placing agency and an outreach ministry of Youth With A Mission , an international missionary organization with varied ministries in over 171 countries. Here at the Puyallup base you’ll find YWAM staff involved with a maternity home that has been serving the community for twenty-five years, Adoption Ministry, and a food distribution program called Gleanings for the Needy. We are busy, and loving it!
OUR ROOTS
Once upon a time twenty-five years ago, a YWAM missionary couple named Miles and Debi had a heart for women who chose life for their unborn baby but had no place to live. So, with $15.00 in their pocket but faith in a big God, they purchased a large home in Tacoma and invited the women to live with their family. Along with caring for pregnant women, they themselves gave birth to two girls and a boy.
Miles, a man with a huge heart and vision, bought property in the beautiful Puyallup Valley in Washington State to re-locate the maternity home in a rural setting, and that is the New Beginnings Home you can see today. Eight years ago, a bubbly biracial little girl was adopted into their family. God knew she needed brothers, so the door opened for the Musicks to adopt twin boys from the foster care system. | heart for her own adopted children, God placed the vision of Adoption Ministry on her and Miles’ hearts. In August 2002, Adoption Ministry was fully licensed with the State of Washington as a child placing agency. |
PHILOSOPHY OF ADOPTION
Adoption with our agency is an agreement between the adoptive couple and the birth family that is facilitated by the agency to create a life plan based on love, trust and promise to keep the highest interest of the child in mind throughout the growing up years. A Communication Agreement is usually established before the birth of the child and is a document that is based on relationship and mutual respect. The openness of an adoption is determined by both parties. Adoption Ministry facilitates a Communication Agreement that meets the birth family’s needs tempered by common sense and mutuality. WE ARE A FAITH BASED ORGANIZATION
The effectiveness of Adoption Ministry is made possible because of the contributions of individuals, churches, grants and organizations who share our vision of reaching out to young pregnant women facing an unplanned pregnancy, of placing adoptable children into loving Christian families, and of impacting our region with a positive adoption message. Adoption Ministry is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. All services provided to birth parents and adoptive families are free of charge.
All contributions are tax-deductible and each gift is gratefully received. A gift of any size strengthens our ability to touch and transform a child’s life, the child’s mother’s life, and the lives of families who adopt children into their home.
All finances received by the ministry are used directly for ministry expenses. Our staff are non-salaried missionaries and are responsible to raise their own support.
